On the last weekend of August, fires are traditionally lit along the coast to celebrate the Night of Ancient Bonfires, when the sea and shores glow with magical lights.

In Porvoo, the atmosphere is especially unique – the River Carnival takes place by the riverside, and many terraces celebrate the Venetian-style end-of-summer festivities.

At Poukama, we’ll of course join the celebration! Step aboard our cruise ship m/s Amanda and experience the Night of Ancient Bonfires and Porvoo’s River Carnival from the sea.

• Departure from Porvoo Riverside at 19:00

• Return at approx. 22:30

Route & Highlights

• We’ll start from the riverside and head towards Hamari.

• Stop in front of Hamarin Seo to watch the traditional bonfire lighting.

• Continue cruising through the nearby archipelago.

• Enjoy a fireworks show illuminating the night sky.

• Return to Porvoo River to admire the Dancing Lights performance.
