About the Traditional Sauna Ceremony
In the Autumn Sauna Ceremony, led by a sauna guide, you’ll experience an ancient ritual using seasonal elements: plants, sauna whisks, chants, and cultural traditions connected to the time of year.
Autumn has traditionally been the time of Kekri, the harvest festival and year’s end celebration, where the sauna also played an important role.
Kekri is about giving thanks for the past year and its harvest, letting go of burdens, and welcoming the new year to come.
The ceremony is a multisensory experience where you’ll enjoy the healing power of nature’s gifts and sauna steam.
It invites you to let go of everyday concerns, sink into the embrace of the steam, and let time stand still. The autumn ceremony includes silence, relaxation, and the soothing presence of evergreen branches.
The Traditional Sauna Ceremony is suitable for everyone, regardless of sauna experience.
Please inform us in advance of any allergies or health concerns that may affect your participation.
What to bring for the ceremony?
-
Swimsuit and towel
-
Sauna hat if you have one
-
Optional: slippers and a bathrobe
-
Recommended sauna drink: e.g. mineral water
Welcome to enjoy the steam, encounters, and atmosphere – Poukama’s Sauna Day awaits you!
