Ticket price 12 € ( advance booking recommended)

Winter swimming evening sessions are on Mondays and Wednesdays from 16:30 to 20:00.

The schedule may be subject to change due to other booking situations. Any changes will be announced on our social media channels (@porvoonpoukama).

The evening winter baths have changing rooms, showers and unisex saunas near the beach.

You can book your place in the calendar below. There are 30 places available.

Please remember to cancel your place if you can’t make it.

Tickets for the evening shift are payable on the spot.

VILLAGE SAUNA SHIFTS FROM 8.2.2025

The village sauna has 3 consecutive shifts.

shift 10:00 – 12:00
shift 12:00 – 14:00
shift 14:00 – 16:00

Each shift has 40 seats.

The village saunas have separate changing rooms, saunas and showers for men and women, as well as a shared indoor swimming pool and saunas near the beach.

An effort is also made to keep the warm lot open but this is subject to weather conditions and other bookings.

Places are booked via the online shop and paid for on arrival at the venue. Please remember to cancel your reservation if you are unable to attend.
Subject to availability, tickets will also be sold on site.

Adults (over 15 years) 15 € / ticket.

One adult ticket entitles you to buy 2 tickets for children under 15 years of age, which can be added at the time of purchase as an additional service.
Children’s tickets cost €5 each

Before going for a winter swim, it is important to be properly equipped. Dress warmly before and after swimming.

This is how you start your winter swim:

Preparation and equipment:

When starting a winter swim, make sure you are properly equipped.
Before starting your winter swim, make sure you are properly prepared.
You can get winter swimming shoes, neoprene socks and gloves for extra protection and comfort.

Find out where to go winter swimming:

Choose a safe winter swimming spot, such as the Adventure Pool, and check it out before you swim.
Follow the rules and instructions of the winter swimming site.

Take care when walking:

Walk carefully to the winter swimming site, especially when the walkways are slippery.
Wear non-slip slippers if necessary.
If possible, hold on to handrails to ensure safe movement.

Do not dive or get your head wet:

Avoid diving or wetting your head as this can cause hypothermia.
Wearing a headgear is recommended.

Use caution when descending into the water:

Enter the water gently, preferably using stairs or ladders.
Hold on to the handrails and allow yourself to get out of the water if necessary.

Control your breathing:

Breathe through your mouth calmly and for a long time on your way out of the water.
Calming your breathing is important in cold water.

It is important to breathe calmly while you are out of the water:

When you decide to stop swimming, get out of the water calmly.
Avoid getting wet hands on the icy rails.

Wrap up in warm clothes:

Wrap a towel or bathrobe around you as soon as you get out of the water.
Warm clothes will prevent your body from cooling down quickly.

Warm up and drink:

Move to a warm room, take a warm shower and/or enjoy a sauna, but don’t get too hot.
Drink enough fluids, especially lukewarm or warm drinks after a winter swim.

Equipment:

Check that you have the necessary equipment, such as a swimsuit, headgear, suitable footwear for moving around in and any neoprene socks and gloves.

As a beginner, it is important to follow these guidelines and be careful. Winter swimming can be a very enjoyable and healthy activity when practised safely and properly equipped.
